The doors to the orphanage are nearly ready to open.  As the bathrooms should be completed within the next week or so, it is now time to procure beds and bedding.  Our most immediate need is for 16 Triple Tier Bunk Beds and bedding for a total estimated cost $9,600.

Next will come a generator at a cost of approximately $1800.  There were 161 power outages at the orphanage in the last 3 months  (92 days) of 2013.  Already there have been 5 outages in the first 2 days of 2014!  Stable/reliable power is necessary for food preservation as well as  providing for a good teaching environment for the children.

Once the above items are in place the following projects will need to be scheduled and completed:
Kitchen fixtures (double sink, plumbing and drain work) @ $250.00
          Exterior painting @ $450.00
Library/Activity Center (carpentry, bookcases, desk, screening and door to recreation area @
               $1500.00
10  Baby Cots (cribs) with netting and stands @ $1000.00
Many books and teaching items have already been collected and are ready to be shipped to the
               orphanage.
About 70 quilts have already arrived at he orphanage and another 85 more are currently ready
for shipment.  More quilts are in the process of being made as I write this!  See "Quilts of
Love for Orphans" on this site for more information on this wonderful project!

Another primary need is for long term sustainable funding for day to day care and operations.  Any help of any dollar amount (large or small) on a consistent long term basis is so much needed and appreciated.  Please see the "Qgiv" logo on our home page for more details on how you can donate to help the orphaned children of Ghana.

If anyone has any suggestions for any form of help for us please contact us.   As usual, your prayers and comments are always needed and appreciated!

May God richly bless you.  Thank you for taking the time to read this important message.
